The new "Shark Distributed Monitoring System" (SDMS) of CACE Technologies allows data recording at important network points as well as centralized control with analyses. High-performance servers, so-called "Shark Appliances" store data 24/7 on hard disks and make them available for filtering and analyzing.
The "Pilot Console" software controls alarm factors one or more "Shark Appliances" online, displays data graphically and starts Wireshark for a detailed frame analysis, if required , or activates an alarm via e-mail, Twitter etc.

Shark Appliance
Together with the "Gigabit TurboCap" Ethernet card, the "Shark Packet Recorder" provide the "Shark Appliance server's powerful basis. Without loss of packets, data is recorded on RAID arranged hard disks with Gigabit Full-Duplex speed.
The "Shark Appliance" is fully integrated in Wireshark and supports the known capture and display filter options which are configured via "Pilot Console".
