Leutert NetServices

Leutert NetServices is succeeding in the network training, troubleshooting and consulting business for local networks since 1988.

Qualifications

20 years of network analysis and troubleshooting experience in the area of local networks are the perfect basis for hands-on trainings and advisory services which are individually tailored to the particular problems of our customers.

Since 1991, the proprietor, Rolf Leutert, holds the Network General License to conduct Sniffer® training courses. He is accredited for the following trainings from the Sniffer University® program:

  • Ethernet
  • Token-Ring
  • Expert Sniffer
  • Advanced Network Troubleshooting
  • TCP/IP Protocol
  • Windows NT Troubleshooting
  • WAN Internetworking (ISDN, Frame Relay, X.25 etc.)
  • Wireless Local Aera Networks

In the last 20 years, far more than 100 Sniffer trainings were carried out, and more than 1'000 participants in public courses or inhouse trainings in a lot of medium and big sized enterprises from all economic branches were trained. In the course of time, banking, insurances, chemistry and trade turned out to be main industrial sectors.

The long standing experience in troubleshooting Ethernet, Token-Ring and Wide Area Networks, especially with protocols like TCP/IP, Novell, IPX, NETBEUI and SNA, raised the awareness of product innovations such as the network analysis tool "Ethereal" which was developed some years ago. Rolf Leutert's change from proprietary to this Open Source software took place three years ago, when the unique analysis tool was rebranded to "Wireshark". Since then, Leutert NetServices is building up the European business around the highly professional network analysis software enhancing the Open Source software's benefits by use of the correspondent hardware tools of CACE Technologies which is done in personal contact with the Wireshark founder Gerald Combs.

Engagement

Leutert NetServices supports SHARKPROJECT E.V. This membership corporation is involved with the conservation of sharks. It is committed to the knowledge transfer and a better understanding of this species.
